PHILADELPHIA (WIP Sportsradio) — Is Villanova a Philadelphia school? It's an age-old dispute in this city, and Monday night added fuel to the fiery debate.

The official Villanova basketball X account posted the wild final sequence of the Knicks’ Game 2 improbable win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, promoting their three alumni in the game — New York Knicks Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo.

Those three former Wildcats, in particular, were almost solely responsible for the Knicks’ comeback in the final 30 seconds of the game.

Sixers fans did not appreciate the post, and they let the Nova account have it in the comments.

94WIP's Mike Sielski defended the Villanova account.

Brunson, Hart, DiVincenzo and the Knicks now have a 2-0 series lead over the 76ers. Game 3 will take place Thursday night in South Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center, an arena that those players are very familiar with.
