NEWARK, De. (KYW Newsradio) — One person is dead and at least one other is wounded after an early morning shooting at a strip mall in New Castle County, Delaware.
New Castle County Police said it was around 1 a.m. when shots were fired at the Shoppes of Village Square, near the intersection of Marrows Road and Christiana Parkway.
One man was killed, while another person was wounded. Their condition is unknown.
A woman who works nearby at the University of Delaware told NBC 10, "I think I see them as mostly isolated incidents. It's not a indicator of larger violence. I mean it's not like we don't have no crime at all but it's a very low crime rate."
Police said the gunman got away, though they did tow couple of cars away. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
