PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A triple shooting has left a woman dead and two men wounded in Philadelphia's Nicetown-Tioga neighborhood.

It was around 12:30 p.m. Thursday when police say gunfire erupted at 21st and West Venango streets.

Authorities say the three people showed up at Temple University Hospital in a private vehicle, all suffering from gunshot wounds.

A 68-year-old woman was shot in the neck. She died at the hospital.

A 40-year-old man is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his face.

And a 37-year-old man was shot in the hand. He is in stable condition.

There is no word on what led up to the shooting. So far, no arrests have been made.

Less than two hours later, a second deadly triple shooting happened in East Germantown. Police say the two incidents are unrelated.

A 12-year-old boy and two men, one in his 40s and another in his 30s, were gunned down on East Locust Avenue, not far from La Salle University.
