PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 14-year-old boy was shot on a Broad Street Line platform on Temple University's campus in North Philadelphia Saturday night.

Police said the shooting happened at 8:30 p.m. at the Cecil B. Moore station on the southbound platform. The teen was shot twice in the hip and taken to a hospital, where he's expected to recover.

"We do not feel there are any additional threats or risks to the community, and particularly the student body here at Temple, based on the evidence we have so far,” said Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace.

Police said they took three people into custody a few blocks away, one of them is the suspected shooter.
