PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities have arrested and charged two people they said were involved in a massive gun and drug distribution scheme in Northeast Philadelphia.

It all started in January, following a tip and some undercover drug purchases.

Pennsylvania State Police’s VICE unit spent months investigating and working with the Philadelphia District Attorney to locate two homes in the Somerton neighborhood: 412 Tomlinson Road and 1814 Gregg Street.

They served a warrant at those locations in early May and seized two dozen guns, $1.5 million in drugs, and about $19,383 in cash.

“Let me just tell you something you are not seeing on this table: 20 to 25 thousand rounds of ammunition,” said District Attorney Larry Krasner.

Prosecutor Stephen Girman said they can’t reveal many details, as the investigation is ongoing. But they confiscated cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, LSD and ketamine, among other drugs.

Yandra Kamberaj, 26, and Theodore Manko, 45, have each been charged with several conspiracy, weapons and drug offenses.
