SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Two people were killed and one was injured in a car accident Monday night in Burlington County, New Jersey.
State police said two cars collided on Route 206 at Quaker Bridge Road in Shamong Township just before 8 p.m.
Investigators said 21-year-old Derek Gantham of Tabernacle was driving a Ford F350 southbound when he collided with a Toyota heading westbound on Quaker Bridge Road. The Toyota flipped over into Atsion Lake.
The driver and passenger, 66-year-old John and Theresa Hawley of Marlton, were pronounced dead.
Gantham was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
No additional details about the crash were released, and the cause remains under investigation.
