NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Two people are dead and six injured after a multi-car crash on Black Horse Pike Friday.
According to our partners at NBC10, it happened around 8:18 p.m. in front of the Oh St. Joseph Hotel in the West Atlantic City section of Egg Harbor Township.
They say a 2017 silver Nissan Sentra going westbound entered into oncoming traffic and struck a 2018 Kia Forte head-on.
The Kia then rolled backward, colliding with a 2020 Nissan Sentra, which slid westbound off the roadway. The 2017 Nissan erupted into flames.
Police say debris from one of the vehicles hit a fourth car, a 2019 Toyota Yaris.
The driver of the Kia, a 21-year-old, died, and a passenger in the 2017 Nissan, a 22-year-old, also died.
Three others inside the 2017 Nissan were taken to nearby hospitals. Two are listed in critical condition; one, with serious injuries.
A 27-year-old passenger in the Kia also has serious injuries and two people in the 2020 Nissan have minor injuries.
Police say one other person was taken to a hospital.
