NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Gloucester Township man has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal shooting last week.
On April 16, around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot at a home in the La Cascata development.
Upon arrival, they found 24-year-old Nasir Tart suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced at the scene about 20 minutes later.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says the U.S. Marshals Camden Division took 21-year-old Hasan Battie into custody Monday in connection to the shooting.
He was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and is pending a pretrial detention hearing.
