PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — There's a heightened police presence outside City Hall after chaos broke out among a large gathering of young people Sunday night.
In a video shared to social media Sunday night, a group of cops can be seen running up to someone in a gray sweatshirt outside City Hall and tackling them to the ground before ushering them off camera.
Philadelphia police said three people were arrested Sunday night for firearms offenses, robbery and disorderly conduct.
Seven others were cited for disorderly conduct.
More than a dozen police cars were stationed outside City Hall on Monday as a precautionary measure. Around 5 p.m., a large group of people— who appeared to be middle- and high school age — was removed from City Hall plaza. A handful were put in handcuffs. It's not clear why.
The large presence is disrupting traffic around Center City.
