
NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Three people have been arrested and charged in connection to a stabbing at the Showboat Resort in Atlantic City.
On Wednesday, around 9 p.m., police received reports of a man stabbed along the 800 block of the boardwalk.
Upon arrival, they found a 25-year-old from New York suffering from a stab wound. An officer applied a tourniquet and rendered aid before transferring him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Further investigation revealed the victim was involved in an altercation before the stabbing where he was punched, kicked and stabbed.
Hours later, police arrested 20-year-old Marquise Cottman of Millville in connection to the incident. An active warrant was out for his arrest. He’s charged with aggravated assault.
On Friday, police arrested two additional suspects: 19-year-old Julius Reed of Atlantic City and 18-year-old Tyreke Allen-Whitaker of Bridgeton.
Reed also had an active warrant for his arrest in Camden County. He is charged with stabbing the victim. Allen-Whitaker faces aggravated assault charges for allegedly punching the victim.
Allen-Whitaker and Cottman were both released with a summons for a court appearance.
The victim is expected to be OK.
