PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Three Philadelphia men have been arrested for running a multi-county theft ring that stole more than $50,000 in merchandise from Home Depots.

Officials in Montgomery County say 39-year-old Terrell Jackson, 32-year-old Balvin Greene and 38-year-old Kristopher Heard operated their theft ring for almost three months, from May 18 to Aug. 11.

They targeted high-value goods, including pressure washers, air conditioners and vacuum cleaners at Home Depots in Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks and Philadelphia counties.

Officials say members of the group would walk out of the stores without paying for the items, then immediately take them to a co-conspirator in Philadelphia, who would sell the items below market value at porch sales in the city.

Search warrants executed at multiple locations in Philadelphia on Aug. 14 led to the recovery of $10,000 in stolen goods, and $2,000 in cash and illegal drugs.

Jackson, Greene and Heard are charged with running a corrupt organization, organized retail theft and related crimes.

Jackson and Greene have a preliminary hearing on Aug. 28. Heard is waiting to be extradited from New Jersey.
