PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for three men who attacked and tried to rob another man on a SEPTA platform in Center City early Tuesday.
Around 1:30 a.m., police said the trio approached the 50-year-old victim on the westbound platform of a SEPTA station at the intersection of 15th and Market streets.
One of the three men pulled out a knife, demanding money from the victim, authorities said. He was able to disarm the attacker, but the suspects then punched and kicked him.
They eventually fled the scene on a westbound train.
The 50-year-old man was hospitalized. His condition is currently unknown.
