PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Thieves stole 3,000 pounds of frozen snow crab off a truck parked near Philadelphia International Airport.
A driver told police he was asleep in his truck on Island Avenue, near Bartram Avenue, around 5 a.m. Tuesday when he heard something going on outside.
He saw six men taking boxes of frozen crab off the truck. When he got out of the vehicle, one of the men chased him down the street.
The thieves left the rest of the cargo on the truck. They got away in a gray Ford F-150 pickup truck and a gray Dodge Caravan.
