
SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Dozens of organizations are hosting ceremonies to mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11 in South Jersey on Saturday.

BURLINGTON COUNTY
Lumberton Township is holding a brief 9/11 remembrance ceremony and wreath-laying at 10 a.m. at the 9/11 memorial at the Emergency Services Building, 34 Municipal Drive, Lumberton.
“Remember, Respect, Respond: Medford Will Never Forget” begins at 8:30 a.m. in Freedom Park. There will be bell ringings at 8:45, 9:03, 9:45 and 10:10 a.m. to honor those who perished when the planes hit the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and Shanksville, respectively. Located at 86 Union St., Medford.
The Mount Laurel Fire Department is inviting the public to reflect on the terrorist attacks by attending a ceremony at the headquarters station at 8:30 a.m. Located at 69 Elbo Lane, Mount Laurel.
A piece of the World Trade Center is on display at the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center. There’s a bagpipe remembrance ceremony at 11 a.m. Located at 53 Academy Drive, Westampton.
CAMDEN COUNTY
The ceremony features first responders, starting at 10:30 a.m. Guest speakers include retired FBI agents, police and firefighters. Artifacts from all three crash sites will be on display at American Legion Post 371. Located at Lucas Boulevard and Lakeview Drive, Gibbsboro.
Camden County commissioners will be joined by veterans and public safety officials for a candlelight vigil to honor the lives of all those lost in the attacks and in the war on terror over the past 20 years. It starts Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Island in Cooper River Park. Located at North Park Drive, Pennsauken.
GLOUCESTER COUNTY
The annual Never Forget 9/11 event at Mission BBQ starts at 11 a.m. It’s a day to celebrate patriotism and heroic first responders, along with live performances and free sandwiches. Located at 1901 Deptford Center Road, Deptford.
Gloucester County’s annual Patriot Day begins with a ceremony at 8:30 a.m. in the Place of Reflection, inside Chestnut Branch Park. Located at 401 Main St. in Mantua.
Mayor Joann Gattinelli and her administration invite everyone to attend the Washington Township Fire Department’s Remembrance Walk at Washington Lake Park at 8 a.m., starting at the amphitheater. Located at 626 Hurffville Cross-Keys Road, Sewell.
A bell-ringing ceremony at the Westville Borough memorial in Thomas West Park begins at 8:30 a.m. Town officials ask anyone coming to be seated by 8:25 so the somber event is not disrupted. Everyone who comes is encouraged to bring American flags and show off the red, white and blue. Located at 323 Delsea Drive, Westville.
Memorial dedication and artifacts on display at Veterans Memorial Park with a special performance by dance students starting at 11 a.m. Located at Woodbury Heights.
