WEST NORRITON (KYW Newsradio) — Nine members of the Pagans Outlaw Motorcycle Club have been arrested in connection with a shootout at a Montgomery County Wawa earlier this month, where six people, including two innocent bystanders, were injured.
Police say two members of the Unknown Motorcycle Club were at the gas pumps outside the store on the corner of Main Street and Trooper Road in West Norriton around 9 p.m. on Oct. 17, when nine members of the Pagans Outlaw Motorcycle Club pulled into the parking lot, surrounding the two members of the rival gang, and blocking the exits.
Investigators say the Pagans attacked the Unknowns in an effort to steal their club vests, known as “cuts.” At least 14 shots were fired.
While no one was killed, a man putting air in his tires near the gas pumps was shot in the face and treated at a nearby hospital.
A woman who was outside the doors of the Wawa smoking a cigarette was shot in her right side as she ran back into the store.
Other customers and employees took cover in the back of the Wawa.
One of the Unknowns was shot in the arm and leg.
Three of the Pagans were shot before they rode out of the parking lot toward Norristown.
The following were arrested and charged with 12 felony counts of aggravated assault, two felony counts of riot, 14 counts of simple assault and 46 counts of recklessly endangering another person:
