PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Nonprofits are the glue that helps make the world a better place. Often, they focus on issues like sustainability, health and wellness, and activism. But they need key resources to stay afloat.
Enter the Unless Project. The new initiative by A Little Better Company (ALBC) aims to help four local nonprofit organizations implement modern digital marketing strategies.
Awardees will be eligible to receive up to $150,000.
Applications open on Aug. 15 and the final selection will be determined by Dec. 15. The program starts in January 2024 and goes through June, with the opportunity to extend, if needed.
"We are especially hoping to inspire a lot of folks who are out there who believe that their idea is not good enough, or that they'll never be able to make it happen; know that maybe there is a possibility," said Simon Rogers, founder and CEO of ALBC.
He said many nonprofits that are doing important work often don't have the necessary marketing strategies to expand their organizations.
"We live in a world where [these strategies] are viewed as a luxury for these small nonprofits when they are absolutely crucial components to success," he said.
Rogers talks more about the application process, what organizations qualify and what the program will look like on the latest episode of KYW Newsradio In Depth.
