
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man has been arrested in connection with two separate sexual assaults in South Philadelphia.
Police say the first incident happened Sunday just before 11 p.m. Abdul Ford, 22, forcefully grabbed a person walking along the 1600 block of Point Breeze Avenue and sexually assaulted them.
The second attack happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday on Wharton Street, near 20th Street. Police say Ford assaulted the victim then took off with their phone.
Police say both victims were able to get away. They tracked Ford down through the stolen phone. He is charged with rape, sexual assault, and related offenses.
