PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — U.S. marshals safely recovered a 7-month-old girl who was reported missing from South Jersey early Thursday morning.

An Amber Alert was issued for the infant shortly after 4 a.m. At the time, she had last been seen Wednesday in Vineland, Cumberland County.

Police said she was abducted by her father, 22-year-old Ramon Rivera Jr.

Investigators said they were in Chester, Pennsylvania before they got in a car with other unidentified adults and headed over the Commodore Barry Bridge.

At 7:15 a.m., authorities pulled Rivera over and arrested him for kidnapping and aggravated assault, relating to an incident the night before in Vineland.

The child was recovered unharmed.

Rivera now faces two charges of endangering the welfare of a child, and one charge each of kidnapping, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
