PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The man responsible for the death of a pregnant woman four years ago in North Philadelphia has been sentenced.

Anthony Williams pleaded guilty in February to two counts of voluntary manslaughter and a gun charge for the July 2020 shooting death of Shaliyah Davis, who was five months pregnant.

Authorities say 25-year-old Davis was sitting in her car at 25th and Berks streets when she was struck in the head with a bullet.

Judge Scott O’Keefe sentenced Williams to six to 12 years behind bars, with credit for time served, and ordered substance abuse therapy and job training.

He will also spend six years on probation.
