PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 31-year-old Morrisville woman is accused of pulling a gun on another parent in the Morrisville High School parking lot after authorities said their children were involved in an altercation in the school.
The investigation began when two women got into a fight in the Morrisville Borough Building outside of the police department on Feb. 25.
Charging documents state Ashlynn Parker Paris had another woman against the wall, with her forearm across her neck.
The two were separated to give their sides of the story.
The affidavit of probable cause said the woman told police Parker Paris’s daughter had assaulted her daughter at Morrisville High School, and when the woman went to pick up her daughter, Parker Paris came up to her vehicle “in an aggressive manner.”
She said Parker Paris then went back to her car, got a gun, walked back toward the woman’s car, and threatened her. And the affidavit said that when the woman went to the Morrisville Police Department to file a complaint, Parker Paris was already there, started screaming at her, then attacked her.
Parker Paris said the other woman said something to her as she was walking to her car in the high school parking lot and as Parker Paris got the gun out of her car, she never pointed it, and when she got to the police station the other woman was, in her words, “flipping out,” and Parker Paris lost control of her emotions and attacked her.
Police said video from the school parking lot showed Parker Paris walk towards the other woman’s car, the two exchange words, and as the other woman starts to pull out of the parking lot, Parker Paris gets out of her car with a gun and points it at the other woman’s car.
Parker Paris is charged with possession of a weapon on school property, simple assault, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.
