PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The body of a 33-year-old Chester woman who was missing for nearly a month has been recovered from the Delaware River.
Kortney Staples and her car were last seen on Ulrich Street in Chester, Delaware County, on July 11. Police reported her missing a week later.
Crews were seen on Sunday near Front and Norris streets conducting a water operation. Staples’ family told NBC10 that investigators found her body.
A car was also seen being towed, though it hasn’t been confirmed yet if it’s hers. Police have not said how her body ended up in the river.
