PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The body of a paddleboarder who went missing at Marsh Creek State Park in Chester County Saturday night after the severe storms swept in has been recovered. Two others were rescued from the reservoir.
Fire crews said the rescue happened around 10 p.m. as three people were swimming on paddleboards in the reservoir. The search for the third person lasted throughout the night.
Officials initially said the park would be closed Sunday as the search continued, but it is now open for the day.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The severe thunderstorms brought heavy winds and rain to the region.
