PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A boil water advisory in parts of northwest Montgomery County has been lifted.
Pennsylvania American Water made the announcement Saturday morning, after issuing the advisory on Thursday due to a failure of the chlorine feed system for about 15 minutes. The utility said chlorine levels have since returned to normal.
After testing samples collected on Thursday and Friday, the state's Department of Environmental Protection authorized lifting the advisory.
Nearly 10,000 homes and businesses in all of Royersford Borough were affected, as well as those in parts of Limerick and Upper Providence townships.
