NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A North Carolina man has been charged in a Halloween night road rage incident on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Officials say just before midnight, 34-year-old Brandon Rudd opened fire at another vehicle traveling southbound on the turnpike in Mansfield Township, Burlington County, striking it multiple times. The person inside the car was not injured.
Rudd was arrested in North Carolina in early November.
With the help of police in North Carolina, a gun believed to have been used in the incident was seized from Rudd’s home, along with other firearms and a kilogram of cocaine.
Rudd is being held in North Carolina, where he faces drug charges and related offenses, pending extradition to New Jersey, where he is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and gun charges.
