SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Oh, baby, the brisket’s back! This weekend is the New Jersey BBQ State Championship and blues festival in North Wildwood, from Friday to Sunday.
Celebrate 102 years of Broadway’s greatest moments with Neil Berg and veteran actors performing powerful vocals and stunning choreography at Surfside Park in Avalon Saturday night.
Singer-songwriter Brian McKnight takes the stage at Ocean Resort Casino Friday night, featuring chart-toppers “Back at One” and “Love Is.”
And the Peach at the Beach Music Festival is Saturday in Atlantic City, with several rock, blues, and jam bands at the Showboat Island Water Park.
Blaze on the Beach
Get ready for The United Civil Servants’ annual Blaze on the Beach at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como on Friday, July 12.
The event, which runs from noon to 5 p.m., benefits children in need.
It's $75 at the door. There will be $10 raffle tickets, a BBQ and, of course, an open bar.
Classic American Movie Nights
"Nobody puts baby in a corner,” said fictional character Johnny Castle …. except, maybe for “Dirty Dancing” movie night in Seaside Heights on Friday, July 12.
Grab your coziest outfit and get ready to watch an American classic with your toes in the sand and the ocean breeze in your hair.
The movie starts at dusk and is for adults only. Attendees will be seated in the vicinity of Beach Patrol North Headquarters.
And what’s a movie night without a beverage? Seaside Heights Business Improvement District will be on the beach selling beer and wine throughout the film.
NJ State BBQ Championship & Anglesea Blues Fest
Grab your bibs and get ready to grub on some mouth-watering meats marinated, seasoned and smoked “to the point of perfection.”
Barbecue teams from around the country will be at 2nd and Olde New Jersey Avenues and surrounding pubs in North Wildwood this weekend to show off their grillin’ skills.
The competition kicks off Friday, July 12 at 4 p.m., and runs through Sunday.
There will be live cooking demonstrations, food and top regional and national blues acts on the free, main stage.
Brian McKnight at Oceans Casino Resort
Get ready to sing your heart out with Brian McKnight at Oceans Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
The singer-songwriter, who’s received 16 GRAMMY nominations, will be taking the stage on Friday, July 12 at Ovation Hall.

The Peach at the Beach music festival returns Saturday, July 13 at Island Water Park in Atlantic City.

There will be performers, vendors, oh, and a waterpark for you to take a splash and cool off.
