PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — In 2009, a Philadelphia artist created dozens of murals in collaboration with surrounding West Philadelphia communities, all in the name of love. Mural Arts Philadelphia offers a tour once a year — but why wait?

The murals are hidden in plain sight. Maybe you've seen them. Maybe you haven't. There are about 50 hand-painted murals spread all throughout West Philly, done by Steven "ESPO" Powers in 2009 as a love note — really, to his partner, but also to Philly.

But there's a catch. You can't actually see them by foot. You have to take SEPTA's elevated Market-Frankford Line.

Board the subway in Center City, and head out to West Philadelphia, where the train rises above street level, and get a bird's eye view of this series of love letters. How many murals can you find? Will you see 20? Will you see 10? Can you spot all 50?

I love you
