PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man from East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, was accused of stabbing his sister to death earlier this week.
East Hempfield police said 26-year-old Bryan Emeric Adolph stabbed his 28-year-old sister, Elyse, about 20 times inside his home on Persimmon Drive just after 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
Adolph's 24-year-old brother told police he grabbed a handgun to defend himself from his brother's attack.
He also told police that Adolph was annoyed by a neighbor's dog barking, and picked up one of the dogs and punched it in the face. Police said the stabbing began after Elyse confronted her brother over punching the dog.
Adolph was arraigned on Tuesday and denied bail. He's in Lancaster County Prison awaiting a preliminary hearing on Aug. 4.
He has been charged with homicide and aggravated assault.
