PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Bryn Mawr College is offering zero tuition for eligible students beginning in fall 2026.

It’s all through the Brywn Mawr Beacon Initiative, which expands a 2024 program that eliminates federal student loan debt for students with family incomes below $110,000 and assets under $500,000.

According to Cheryl Lynn Horsey, vice president for enrollment at Bryn Mawr College, families with incomes at or below $175,000 are eligible for full tuition coverage next year.

“We have been leaning towards trying to make Bryn Mawr education affordable and accessible to more people who meet the admissions criteria of our institution. And so this is sort of the culmination, at this point, of what we can do. … Create a space where students can realistically think about attending a liberal arts college,” Horsey said.

According to the college, if tuition increases after the first year, Brywn Mawr will still cover the difference.

Horsey said the school’s very generous donors and internal resources are helping make this possible.
