NEWTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A former teacher’s assistant at an elementary school in Bucks County is charged with possession of child sexual abuse material after he was caught posing as a teenager online to get children to send him nude photos.

Charles Dingman, 29, of College Avenue in Yardley, is accused of posing as a 13-year-old on Snapchat, asking other children to send nude or illicit images.

Bucks County detectives said he was also on Twitch, a livestreaming service, asking a girl estimated to be between 9 and 12 years old to perform suggestive acts.

The investigation started after detectives received tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Detectives said when they interviewed Dingman, he admitted there would be child sexual abuse material on his phone. They said a search of that phone found nude images of girls under 10 years old.

Dingman also told detectives he worked at Holland Elementary School. The Council Rock School District said Dingman worked as a part-time teacher’s assistant for about three months before he was fired when the district learned of the investigation.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s office said Dingman’s employment records also show he worked as a soccer coach and substitute teacher. They said, while the investigation is ongoing, at this point, there is no evidence that any of the children in the images are Holland Elementary students or from the area.
