NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A Bucks County man is in custody after police said he stabbed his father to death.
22-year-old Jordan Kurman of Newtown Township has been charged with homicide and possession of an instrument of crime.
Newtown Township police said they were called to the family's home just before 5 a.m. Friday, where they found his 49-year-old father Gregory on the living room floor with a deep knife wound to the throat. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Kurman's mother, Meredith, told detectives she was upstairs when she heard screams and arguing. When she went downstairs to investigate, she said she saw her son drop the knife that police later found next to the body. She told police, quote, "He killed my husband."
Kurman was denied bail and is currently held at Bucks County Correctional Facility.
