PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A driver in a stolen car hit police spike strips and crashed into an SUV in Bucks County on Thanksgiving Day.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. near the Calhoun Street Bridge in Morrisville Borough.
Police said officers first spotted a suspicious vehicle in a neighborhood in Lower Makefield. They followed it for a while, but it eventually got away.
Police in Upper Makefield picked up the chase a short time later and set up spike strips on the bridge. However, the stolen car hit them and then crashed into an SUV with seven people inside.
All of the people in the SUV were physically OK.
The driver of the stolen car had minor injuries and is facing charges.
