BURLINGTON COUNTY, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — A 24-year-old Delanco man is in custody and faces several sexual abuse charges for allegedly blackmailing underage girls to send him nude photos.

The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office says 24-year-old Bryce Berger, a computer technician for Medford Township Public Schools, was arrested Thursday morning and charged with production of child sexual abuse material, possession with intent to distribute child sexual abuse material and sexual extortion, among other offenses, after an investigation found he was extorting young girls. Authorities seized several devices from his home.

Investigators say he met the victims, who range in age from 12 to 17, online. Berger is alleged to have used an online app to request and receive the photos. He then threatened to release them online unless victims continued to send him pictures. According to investigators, Berger shared photos with another person and sent sexually explicit images to victims.

It’s not believed any of the victims are students in the Medford school district. The prosecutor's office says the investigation is ongoing. Berger is detained at the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly, while prosecutors say they will prepare the case to present to a grand jury for possible indictment.
