PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — About 100 Camden City School District central office employees were laid off. Pink slips went out late last week.
The school district said it’s a restructuring effort to align the district with “current fiscal realities.”
It said, “The goal of this work is to create a more coherent and efficient central office that better supports schools, teaching, and student outcomes.”
However, the affected staff are being urged to apply for new positions in the district as part of the restructuring.
The new office structure takes effect on July 1.
