CAMDEN, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Camden are investigating a shooting on Tuesday that left a Gloucester County man dead. Officials said the victim was also involved in a multi-car accident after being shot.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, shots were fired and police collected several spent shell casings near 33rd Street and Westfield Avenue at about 7 p.m.
A few minutes later, police responded to a five-car crash on Route 130 near Drexel Avenue. One of the vehicles had several bullet holes and the driver, 36-year-old Izaiah Minzy of Westville, Gloucester County was struck. He died at the hospital about an hour later.
Six others suffered minor injuries in the car accident. So far, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
