SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A 40-year-old Camden man is facing first-degree human trafficking charges and other offenses after he allegedly forced two women into prostitution.

According to the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Keith Woodson allegedly approached one victim after she got off a bus in Camden and asked her if she wanted to make $1,000 a day.

Officials said Woodson used that woman’s drug addiction to control her and sell her for sex. Investigators said he threatened that if she didn’t do what he said, the victim would never see her family again.

Another alleged victim was forced into sex with clients out of fear that Woodson would hurt her or withhold food from her. Investigators said he threatened to harm her family if she left.

Woodson is being held on charges of human trafficking, promoting prostitution, and acts of violence against the victims. He faces decades in prison if convicted.
