NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A South Philly restaurant reopened Saturday just hours after a car crashed through its window.
Surveillance video shows a silver SUV driving through the front window of La Catrachita in a shopping center off Columbus Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. Someone then climbed out of the car from the passenger side onto the roof and could be seen walking around the car. A person could be seen sitting in the driver’s seat.
Philadelphia police say the driver fled the scene and have confirmed a hit-and-run occurred at the restaurant. The restaurant still operated Saturday but with a temporary storefront.
No arrests have been made, and no injuries have been reported.
