
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two people have been charged in what police are calling an accidental shooting of a 13-year-old boy.
It happened Saturday around 7:30 p.m. inside a home on Woodstock Street, not far from West Dauphin Street, in North Philadelphia.
Police found the 13-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head and took him to the hospital, where he was placed in extremely critical condition.
The brother of the teen, 19-year-old Elijah Simmons, is facing several charges, including aggravated assault. His 32-year-old girlfriend, Caresa McFarland, is charged with reckless endangerment.
