PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 26-year-old Chester County man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexually exploiting numerous girls online, some as young as 9, as well as child pornography offenses.

Valentin Lubinski, of Malvern, pleaded guilty a year ago to 36 charges of sexual exploitation, child pornography and related offenses.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Lubinski went online pretending to be a teenage boy and targeted at least 18 girls, ages 9 to 16, asking for pictures and videos. He would first ask for photos or videos of them in their underwear, then more sexually explicit images, authorities said.

Lubinski would give his victims a countdown of one minute to send him the images, or else he would post the images he already had, investigators said. Most of the girls were from rural areas across the country.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
