NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — An Oregon man has been arrested and charged in the stabbing death of a Cherry Hill veterinarian two months ago.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Dr. Michael Anthony was found unconscious inside a home on Sharrowvalle Road the morning of Dec. 10 with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced at the scene.

On Feb. 11, they say 27-year-old Christian Custodio-Aquino, of Portland, was taken into custody in California for allegedly killing Anthony. He was charged with first-degree murder.

Camden County officials did not reveal a motive or what led them to Custodio-Aquino, but say they are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call 856-580-2223.

Custodio-Aquino remains in the Fresno County Jail, pending extradition back to New Jersey.
