PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Drivers in Bala Cynwyd should expect delays on City Avenue for the next month as PennDOT crews begin work on the bridge over SEPTA’s Cynwyd Regional Rail tracks.

Traffic is being reduced to one lane in each direction between Bryn Mawr Avenue and 47th Street until April 7. Crews are doing excavation and paving on the bridge, which is just south of Conshohocken State Road.

PennDOT is rehabilitating the 114-year-old bridge to repair sidewalks and improve its retaining walls.
