PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two construction workers were killed when a tractor-trailer collided with several cars on a busy highway in Chester County Monday night.

It was close to 7 p.m. when Pennsylvania State Police said a road crew was setting up a new traffic pattern in a work zone in the eastbound lanes on Route 30 in Valley Township, just west of Coatesville.

That's when police said a truck struck four cars and two construction workers. Our newsgathering partners at NBC10 were at the crash scene and captured a photo of the truck over the guardrail, on its side. A vehicle was flipped over on the side of the truck.

The workers died at the scene.

Two other people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No word yet on any possible charges against the truck driver.
