PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A police officer crashed into another car and a light pole while responding to a call in West Philadelphia.
The crash happened at the intersection of 50th and Spruce streets around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The police SUV hit a Nissan and jumped the curb of the sidewalk, then hit the pole.
The Nissan ended up in the crosswalk with its front end smashed and its bumper several feet away.
The officer and the Nissan driver were both taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
