PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Upper Darby have confirmed that a body found in Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday morning is that of 21-year-old Dianna Brice.

Brice and her boyfriend, 23-year-old Justin Smith, went missing on March 30. Brice was pregnant with her second child.

Upper Darby Police Department Superintendent Timothy M. Bernhardt said Tuesday that authorities do not yet know where Smith is.

Brice was last seen by her mother in Lansdowne, outside K Laundry, around 1 p.m. on March 30. Her family told police Smith just showed up, then the two got in his car and left.

Hours later, Smith’s car was found on fire in Southwest Philadelphia near 59th and Florence streets — just blocks from where Brice's body was found on Tuesday.

According to police, Smith told Brice’s family the pair got into an argument, so she got out of his car around 57th and Springfield streets and he took off.

"It's terrible," Bernhardt said. "Sadness ... words don't express how sad it is for a young woman, who leaves behind a 4-year-old child, was three to four months pregnant with her second. Words don't express how sad it is for her and her family."

There were no details about how the body was found or how Brice may have died.

Bernhardt said the Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit will be leading the investigation.

Authorities are continuing to search for Smith.
