Massive wildfire burns more than 1,200 acres in Cumberland County, N.J.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Fire crews in Cumberland County, New Jersey, are continuing to gain control of a large wildfire that ignited Friday in the city of Vineland.

Dubbed "Danny's Wildfire," the blaze has burned approximately 1,200 acres in the Peaslee Wildlife Management Area. According to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, the fire was 75% contained as of Sunday afternoon.

Officials said no structures have been damaged, and all nearby roads that were closed due to the fire have reopened.

Firefighters have been working throughout the weekend to contain the blaze, utilizing both ground crews and aerial support.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
