PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Chester County officials are looking for more potential victims who may have been assaulted by a handyman charged with 100 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material.
“It is one of the most terrifying sexual assault cases that we have come across in some time,” said Chester County District Attorney Chris de Barrena-Sarobe.
He said that 54-year-old David Rosa was charged with the rape of a child last week after authorities uncovered disturbing new evidence.
Rosa was charged in April with the possession of child sexual abuse materials after receiving tips regarding illicit material on his devices.
Investigators said they reviewed more than 1,000 images and videos of Rosa sexually assaulting both adults and children.
“We do not know who many of the victims are. The adult women appear to be unconscious, and therefore, they may not know that they have been victimized,” de Barrena-Sarobe said.
Investigators said the unidentified children allegedly abused by Rosa appear to be under 10 years of age.
Police said in one case, Rosa stayed at a home while working a painting job and was found in a bed under a blanket with one of the child victims.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, Rosa’s appearance has changed over the years. He has also had various addresses in Philadelphia, Allentown, Malvern and Saylorsburg.
If you or someone you know has spent time with Rosa, contact Chester County detectives at 610-344-6866.
“So that we can seek justice for anyone who was victimized,” de Barrena-Sarobe said.
