PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Marple Township man is accused of imprisoning a 14-year-old girl and sexually assaulting her for several days.
The girl had been missing since Sunday and was found on Thursday by family members in Chester, who later informed police she was with them at the Marple Woods Condominium Complex in Aspen Circle. How she ended up in Chester is not yet known.
Police say 38-year-old Davonte Lawler-Stinney lived in the same complex and held the girl captive in his residence for days, sexually assaulting her. The girl was taken to a hospital for treatment, and Lawler-Stinney was arrested.
He is charged with a list of offenses, including rape, unlawful restraint of a minor, false imprisonment of a minor, strangulation and terroristic threats.
According to authorities, Lawler-Stinney is a Tier III Megan's Law sexual offender.
Police say Lawler-Stinney no longer lives in the Marple Woods Condominium Complex, nor does he pose a threat.
