PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police say someone intentionally poisoned birds at a park in Bucks County.
The Warminster Township Police Department said animal control officers found “numerous” dead birds at the Warminster Community Park on Bristol Road over the weekend.
They were found near feeding stations that apparently contained poison. Officials said the stations were likely set up early Saturday morning.
The feeders look like candles with round, colored bases. There was also a cat food-sized can with a substance inside.
Authorities did not say what the poison was but noted it is dangerous for both animals and humans.
Anyone who sees these bait stations should call 911 or 215-672-1000 for proper and safe removal.
