PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man killed two people in Chester overnight before he was shot and killed by police, officials said.
It happened just after midnight on the 900 block of Barclay Street, near Route 13.
Police arrived on the scene and found a man stabbing a woman with a knife. Officers ordered him to drop the weapon but he ignored their commands.
Another officer then shot the suspect, killing him, the Delaware County District Attorney's Office said. The woman who was stabbed also died.
Authorities said before the stabbing, the suspect had also shot and killed a man inside the residence.
Officials said this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
Police are continuing to investigate.
