PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — One person was killed in a crash on Route 55 in Gloucester County, New Jersey, Monday night.
A source told KYW Newsradio that a pickup truck was going the wrong way in the southbound lanes and collided with a tractor-trailer near Route 322 in Mantua Township.
New Jersey State Police said one person was killed.
It happened around 11 p.m. The southbound lanes of Route 55 reopened shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
This is the second deadly crash on Route 55 in two weeks. Two social media influencers were killed in a crash in Deptford on July 5.
Two years ago, two people were killed in a wrong-way crash in the northbound lanes of Route 55 close to where Monday night’s crash happened.
