PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Three men were fatally shot and a fourth was wounded as they returned from a shopping trip Monday night in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened around 10 p.m. in Mayfair, at Rowland Street and Guilford Avenue, just a few blocks away from Cottman Avenue.
Police believe the men were targeted. Investigators found 50 shell casings on the street.
“All four of the shooting victims may have been shopping earlier today,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small. “They may have been at a mall, but we believe they were all together. That’s why you see some bags and boxes of things [on the ground] that appear to be freshly store-bought.”
The victims were 18, 19 and 24 years old, respectively.
The injured victim, a 28-year-old man, is in critical condition.
Police are looking at surveillance video from nearby homes and businesses to try to identify the shooter.
